treillis distributif.
An elementary characterization of Krull dimension
Abstract :
We give an elementary characterization of the Krull dimension
of distributive lattices and commutative rings.
The geometric intuition is the following: a manifold V
has dimension nongreater than k if and only if the boundary in V
of any
submanifold has dimension nongreater than k-1.
Since our result is about distributive lattices, it applies
on all usual algebraic settings where a spectral space is defined
and corresponds to the spectrum of a distributive lattice.
